We organize the interdisciplinary mathematical workshop „Positivity, Convexity and Computation in Rigidity Theory“ to take place on February 26 – 27, 2026 at Technische Universität Braunschweig. With this workshop we want to bring together researchers with interest and expertise in questions of geometric rigidity theory, with experts concerned with positivity, convexity, symmetry and computations in the realm of real algebraic geometry. Our goal is to combine the expertise from these deeply intertwined topics to encourage the development of novel solution strategies that help to solve geometric problems from rigidity theory, as well as to provide meaningful and difficult examples to test existing approaches on.
