Open Day at the Medicinal Plant Garden of TU Braunschweig

On 31 May 2026, the Medicinal Plant Garden of the Institute of Pharmaceutical Biology at the Technische Universität Braunschweig will open its doors to interested visitors. At this year’s ‘Open Day’ at Mendelssohnstraße 1, guests will gain fascinating insights into the world of medicinal, poisonous and aromatic plants. Admission is free.

On Sunday 31 May, from 10 am to 6 pm, the garden offers the chance to discover native plants and those that can be cultivated in our region, and to learn more about their origins, effects and uses. Staff from the Institute will guide visitors through the medicinal plant garden and provide clear explanations of the distinctive features of selected plant species.

A particular highlight is the plant and seed exchange, where interested visitors can discover and swap plants and seeds. The event is complemented by an information stand offering practical gardening tips.

Furthermore, the garden’s relaxed atmosphere invites visitors to linger over coffee, cold drinks and cake and enjoy the diversity of the plant world.
