► Home-Office before Christmas

In Lower Saxony, the start of the school Christmas holidays has been brought forward to 19.12.2020. The aim is to reduce contacts before Christmas as much as possible in order to reduce the risk of infection before the holidays. The crisis management team of the TU Braunschweig recommends to reduce the attendance time as much as possible from 19.12.2020 until the official start of the closure on 23.12.2020. Please use holidays or time off for this. (For more information visit the information portal – login required.)

► 24 books until Christmas

No chocolate, but we have hidden many book tips in our advent calendar. Because after all the digital meetings, it’s good to browse through a book or read it out loud. Employees and students have sent us their recommendations. Once again, we would like to thank everyone who took part. And now: Open the door!

► Even more Advent Calendar

Even more calendars wait to be opened digitally until 24 December: The Academic Advice Service gives a learning tip every day; the Family Office has collected ideas for pausing and getting together and publishes them on Facebook and Instagram; the Gauss Friends present traditions, recipes and songs from all over the world and the Academic Sports Service has created a sports programme on its Instagram channel.

► Darling of the week

The clouds at the Audimax are back! The work of art by Hans Arp has been restored and has been reinstalled on the west side of the building in the last few days. For all those who missed it, we show the “Cloud Journey” in a fast motion video.
