Professor Antje Schwalb re-elected to the Lower Saxony State Prize Jury

The Minister President of Lower Saxony, Stephan Weil, has appointed Professor Antje Schwalb of the Institute of Geosystems and Bioindication at TU Braunschweig to the jury of the Lower Saxony State Prize for a further six years from 1 January 2025.

The prize is awarded regularly by the Minister President and is endowed with 35,000 euros. Professor Schwalb is a member of the jury, which consists of up to ten people from Lower Saxony. The prize is awarded to individuals who have rendered outstanding services to the state in the fields of culture, women, social affairs, science, the environment or the economy. In 2024, Düzen Tekkal, author, journalist, filmmaker and human rights activist, and Professor Heinrich Detering, literary scholar, poet and writer, received the award.
