Ecoversity Expedition: A week for the region Our motto: “Discover. Connect. Shape.”

From 1 to 7 October, the region will showcase its strengths: science, society, business, politics, culture – and the people who are shaping the future together. As part of the Ecoversity Expedition organised by Technische Universität Braunschweig, this interplay will come to life in a special way over the course of a week. Numerous institutions are offering lectures, workshops, discussions and hands-on activities for interested people from Braunschweig and the wider region. iTUBS – Innovationsgesellschaft Technische Universität Braunschweig mbH – is coordinating the Ecoversity Expedition on behalf of TU Braunschweig.

Marvel at the starry sky above Braunschweig with the family. Hop on a bus and only find out where the research trip is headed as you travel. Engage in conversations with representatives from the fields of science, medicine, technology and education to learn what really happens in their day-to-day work. – These are just three of the many events through which TU Braunschweig and its partners provide an insight into the diverse activities of their network. As part of the Ecoversity Expedition, visitors can look forward to many open doors, rare insights, inspiring conversations, new experiences and unique moments.

“Science thrives on people’s natural curiosity, their questions and the fact that we break new ground together. This is precisely what lies behind the Ecoversity Expedition: it opens doors, brings research out of the laboratories and into the city, and fosters encounters between science, society and our partners,” says TU President Prof. Angela Ittel. “We invite anyone interested to discover new things, meet inspiring people and shape the future together with us. The Ecoversity Expedition provides an excellent framework for this. It’s brilliant that so many exciting social events are on offer.”

All social events at a glance

The Ecoversity Expedition website provides an overview of all social events. Here, those interested can find a description of each event as well as details on the organiser, time and venue. It also indicates whether an event is free or requires a fee. Registration is required for some events. Further events may be added in the run-up to the start of the Ecoversity Expedition on 1 October. It is therefore worth checking the website again during the event week.
