► New tool for engineers
Residual stresses play a role when heat is applied during component machining, e.g. in gears or other components in the automotive and aerospace industries. They can be measured and optimized in the now officially recognized testing laboratory at the “Norddeutsches Zentrum für Spannungsanalytik (NOSA)”.
► Teaching concepts successful

Under the motto “Lost Places” the Kinder-Uni once again takes place as a digital event. It is aimed at children between the ages of 8 and 12 and their parents who are interested in science. They can virtually discover exciting places at TU Braunschweig and immerse themselves in the world of science.
► Bilingual please!

► Darling of the week
More equal opportunities is the goal of our darling of the week. For 13 years now, the initiative “Arbeiterkind Braunschweig” has supported students from families without an academic background in their studies. It has now been awarded the Lower Saxony Prize for Civic Engagement 2021 for its work. Congratulations!
