► Strategic Partnership with Mexico
TU Braunschweig has been cooperating with the Universidad Nacional Autonóma de México (UNAM) for more than 15 years. A strategic partnership agreement was signed during a visit to Mexico by a delegation from TU Braunschweig.
► LogiSmile: Autonomous vehicles deliver parcels
On 22 March, a European research consortium presented a logistics system for a more sustainable last mile at the Automotive Research Centre Niedersachsen (NFF). The scientists demonstrated two autonomous lifting and delivery vehicles in real road traffic on Hermann-Blenk-Straße at Braunschweig Research Airport.
► For a better climate in hospitals
How do indoor climate, air quality, architecture and work organisation influence recovery in hospitals? TU Braunschweig, TU Berlin and Charité are investigating this in an interdisciplinary project to develop energy- and cost-efficient model solutions for the construction, renovation and operation of hospitals.
► TU Braunschweig honoured as building owner
Another award for the Student House! One of the two award of the German University Building Award 2024 goes to Braunschweig. The Student House is the first new building to be completed by TU Braunschweig following the transfer of building ownership. Congratulations!
► Exhibition with Student House and Audmax
From 5 to 26 April, the exhibition “BDA Preis Niedersachsen” will be on display at the Flebbe House in Braunschweig, Bohlweg/Corner Damm. In addition to the BDA Prize-winning Student House, the exhibition also included the Audimax, which was renovated as listed building and made the shortlist, will also be on show. A total of 27 building projects will be on display on the shop windows around the clock.
► Inaugural lecture
Prof. Dr. Franziska Neumann, Institute for History, will hold her Inaugural lecture “Abfall in der Frühen Neuzeit. Eine nachhaltige Erfolgsgeschichte?” on 2 April.
► Our youngest …
… research assistant is Jan Nordmeier, aged 22. After completing a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering in Braunschweig and a master’s degree in Glasgow, Nordmeier started work in March as a research assistant at the Institute of Joining and Welding Technology, more precisely at the Leichtmetallzentrum Soltau LMZS.
► Darling of the week
Our darling of the week is Katharine, the Studierendenwerk´s Ca(r)feteria. From 2 April, it will be back on Campus North, Monday to Thursday from 9:30 to 13:30, serving sandwiches, snacks, coffee specialities, cold drinks and sweets.
► Happy holidays and a good start to summer term!!
We would like to wish all students, teachers and staff a happy, peaceful and sunny holidays with their loved ones. And, of course, a great start to the summer term on Tuesday. We are looking forward to many great events and activities on campus.
