Prof. Anne Pasche in AI expert group Goal: Data protection-compliant use of AI in business and administration
Professor Anne Paschke, Head of the Institute of Law at Technische Universität Braunschweig, is part of a group of experts convened by Lower Saxony’s State Commissioner for Data Protection, Denis Lehmkemper. Its task is to formulate framework conditions for the use of artificial intelligence in Lower Saxony’s economy and administration that are compatible with data protection.
The twelve participants in the expert group include leading representatives from Lower Saxony’s industry and science, public administration and data protection experts from society. Together, they will discuss current developments in the field of AI and analyse the challenges and opportunities for data protection. The aim is to develop technical and legal proposals for the data protection-friendly use of AI in order to promote this technological innovation. In addition to Prof. Dr. Anne Paschke, participants include Franziska Weindauer (TÜV AI Lab), Dr. Klaus Meffert (Dr. DSGVO) and Benedikt Hüppe (Unternehmerverbände Niedersachsen e.V., UVN).
“Artificial intelligence can be used by both the state and the economy in accordance with the law. However, there are currently still a number of questions regarding data protection law. I am looking forward to jointly developing best practice solutions for the use of intelligent software within the framework of the AI expert talks at the LfD Lower Saxony.” – Prof. Dr. Anne Paschke
