“Researching in dialogue”: taking gender dimensions into account

The internationally renowned expert Prof. Londa Schiebinger from Stanford University will present current case studies of gendered innovations in the context of TU’s research priorities in a hybrid lecture and discussion event of the GeDiMINT event series on 10 December. Registration is requested for both online and in-person participation.

Topic of Londa Schiebinger’s lecture: What are some examples in STEM research that specifically show the benefits of considering gender dimensions? The online lecture will provide insights into international research in the STEM disciplines. In her lecture, Schiebinger will focus on case studies that are important for the research priorities at TU Braunschweig, in particular mobility, engineering for health and the city of the future. The examples can provide ideas and starting points for one’s own research. The aim is to make a contribution to research that is oriented towards the benefit of all people.
