Practical training day for (prospective) biology teachers at the Biozentrum

On 30 October 2026, the Institute of Cell and Neurobiology (Department of Cellular and Molecular Neurobiology) will be hosting a practical training day for (prospective) biology teachers at the Biozentrum as part of the ‘Teach The Teachers’ project. The project is organised by life sciences students. It provides insights into day-to-day university research and modern methods of biological research. In addition, the students develop experiments for school pupils that teachers can later use in their lessons.

During this year’s practical day, trainee teachers will work alongside the institute to purify recombinantly expressed proteins and subsequently analyse them using SDS-PAGE.
