Hands-on activities offer insights into the world of science and technology TU Braunschweig presents itself at the IdeenExpo 2024

Experimental stations, workshops and a variety of stage shows: from 8 to 16 June 2024, pupils will be able to explore exciting, hands-on exhibits at the IdeenExpo exhibition centre in Hanover. Technische Universität Braunschweig will also be present with its most extensive hands-on programme to date. Under the motto “Mach doch einfach!“ (Just do it!), pupils will be able to tinker, explore and try things out at TU Braunschweig’s exhibits, and gain fascinating insights into the world of research to inspire them to study STEM degree programmes.

At TU Braunschweig’s stands in the ProduktionsArena, pupils can get to know a Mars rover, marvel at a rocket recovery system, visualise sound with an acoustic camera and explore the inside of a battery. Pupils will also be able to use an Ozobot robot to transport Smarties from A to B, create lightning with a mini Marx generator, build their own lemon battery and wear VR glasses to explore different future climate change scenarios.

In exciting workshops, pupils can also find out how we might be able to fly in 2050, what augmented reality has to do with construction and how quantum physics can be used to make messages tap-proof. There will also be information on study opportunities at TU Braunschweig. This is the most comprehensive programme that TU Braunschweig has ever presented at IdeenExpo, and it has been put together by the engineering faculties and will be supervised by young scientists at IdeenExpo.

The IdeenExpo

The IdeenExpo will feature a wide range of hands-on exhibits, exciting workshops, live experiments, a movement course and an evening programme with popular bands and performers. It offers an exciting insight into the world of science and technology and aims to inspire school pupils and students to pursue careers in science and technology under the motto “Mach doch einfach!“ (Just do it!). Admission to IdeenExpo is free.
