Those interested in studying at short notice have the opportunity to enrol at TU Braunschweig for the summer semester. The enrolment period for Bachelor’s degree programmes with free admission runs until 31 March: Civil Engineering, Chemistry, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Computer and Communication Systems Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Sustainable Power Systems, Sustainable Engineering of Products and Processes, Business Information Systems, and Industrial and Mechanical Engineering.

By drawing lots to get the preferred place of study

Prospective students who have missed the deadline for applying for admission restricted subjects or who have been rejected in the first round, as well as students who have made up their minds at short notice and still want to get hold of a study place in an admission restricted programme, have the opportunity to take part in the drawing of lots. In this procedure, study places that have become available at short notice or have not yet been allocated are drawn by lot.

TU Braunschweig runs a drawing of lots in the following admission restricted Bachelor’s and Master’s degree programmes:

  • Educational Sciences (Bachelor) Deadline: 07.04.2023

Applications for the Bachelor’s degree programmes can be submitted immediately and informally. Simply send an email with the subject “Losverfahren” (drawing of lots) to the Student Office, stating the degree programme and the degree as well as contact details. For those interested in a Master’s programme, the Student Office will send you an application form after you have submitted an informal application.

Prospective students who have made up their minds at short notice have several options to check whether they are the right fit for their desired degree programme. They can either get individual advice directly from the Academic Advice Service, use the Online-Self-Assessment to make their decision or inform themselves about the degree programme via video.
