The 2025 central reception of first-year students in pictures and video Musical and athletic highlights as well as inspiring words

Good vibes on Monday morning? There were plenty of those at the central welcome event for first-year students on 20 October 2025 at the Eintracht Stadium. For the 13th time, the central welcome event for first-year students attracted over 1,000 new students to the Eintracht Stadium. And for the first time to the west stand. Photo credit: Annette Dölger/TU Braunschweig

Not only were the freshers guided through the event in German and English by the moderator duo (pictured left), Jonathan King and Eileen Pollex, they were also welcomed by international students in seven languages: Malaysian, Turkish, Spanish, Portuguese, Chinese, Indian and Persian. The TU President, Prof. Angela Ittel, welcomed the new students and encouraged them to approach their studies with curiosity and an open mind. “Even if you think today that you just want to get your degree so you can start your career, keep an eye out for that spark,” she said.
