Statement on the building at Langer Kamp 8

Dietmar Smyrek, Vice President for Human Resources, Finance and Infrastructure, has issued the following statement regarding the building at Lange Kamp 8, which is in need of renovation.

“We have been concerned for some time about the state of the building at Langer Kamp 8, which is in dire need of renovation. We are aware that the staff working there have to put up with restrictions and find them inconvenient.

For several months now, we have been in discussions with the faculty about how to renovate the building to improve the situation for the staff in a timely and sustainable manner.

We invited all staff working in the building to an event to update them on the current status of the plans and the prioritisation of the work to be carried out. There is still a long way to go before the building is completely refurbished, but the first improvements have already been made.“
