In dialogue with the President Let‘s talk about …

Having a confidential conversation, contributing new ideas or catching up on current topics: In four new dialogue formats, all members of Technische Universität Braunschweig have the opportunity to share what is close to their hearts with the President and to actively participate in the holistic development of TU Braunschweig!

With the four new formats – Campus Hour, Office Hours, Feedback Space and Digital Town Hall – the President invites all members of TU Braunschweig to engage in conversation with her. The aim is to offer members of TU Braunschweig and their various concerns different platforms and thus to provide the right format for exchange for everyone. “Contemporary university development is based on participation and holistic strategic planning. With the different dialogue formats, I would like to get to know you and your ideas and opinions, but also your concerns and needs. Together with you, I want to shape the holistic development of TU Braunschweig over the next few years,” says President Angela Ittel.

The dialogue formats offer a unique opportunity to get involved at our University and provide input into its development. We look forward to stimulating conversations and the initiatives that will result from them. Below, we present the four new formats in detail:

Campus Hour

Twice a semester, President Angela Ittel spends one hour in a public place around our University and looks forward to stimulating conversations with students and employees of the TU. The kick-off is on 3 November 2022 at 10:00 in the Carolo Campus Café. Get to know the President of the University in person during the Campus Hour. There is no need to register!

Office Hours

Already in the Summer Semester 2022, the President’s Office Hours were launched. The focus here is on confidential exchange. Interested TU members can bring up their own topics for discussion after registering in advance: Whether you have suggestions for improvement, are looking for advice, would like to present ideas, or would like to give or obtain feedback on a specific topic. Alone or in a small group, you can discuss your concerns with the President. The next Office Hours will be held on 23 November 2022. Sign up by sending an email to karen.lehmann@tu-braunschweig.de.

Feedback Space

In a small circle of a maximum of ten people, ideas for the development of TU Braunschweig or strategic projects can be discussed and looked at from different perspectives. Possible topics include trends in higher education policy and innovative teaching or study formats, as well as projects relating to research, transfer or knowledge exchange and topics in the field of administration. The Feedback Space offers an open space for discussion, exploration, feedback and advice in a small circle. Appointments can be made on request.

Digital Town Hall

In the Digital Town Hall, the President provides information on current strategic topics that are of importance and interest to all members of TU Braunschweig. Where do we stand? What do we want to achieve? What are the next steps? The first Town Hall will start on 10 November on the topic of the “energy crisis”. During each Town Hall there will be room for discussion and the opportunity to ask questions. It is not necessary to register for the event.
