Silver diplomas for TU Braunschweig choir

The members of the TU Braunschweig Choir are celebrating after winning two awards at the 2nd International Choir Festival in Magdeburg. Under the motto ‘Neue Wege finden – Finding new ways’, 35 regional and international choirs gathered for a concert programme from 11 to 15 September. The choir, conducted by Johannes Höing, took part in the international competition in two categories.

In the category ‘Mixed choirs – Difficulty level I’ the choir won a silver diploma, level VIII. In the second category, ‘Sacred choral music a cappella’, the choir also won a Silver Diploma, Level IX.

As well as taking part in the competitions, the choir performed at the Hop-On-Hop-Off concerts and enjoyed a variety of other concerts around the city. The singers also took part in exciting workshops which provided new impetus and inspiration.
