Anyone wishing to commence a degree programme at Technische Universität Braunschweig in the 2026/27 winter semester has just under two weeks left: The application deadline for Bachelor’s programmes with restricted admission, such as Psychology, Pharmacy and Biology, as well as for all Master’s programmes, is 15 July 2026. There is more time for Bachelor’s programmes with unrestricted admission: enrolment is still possible until 15 October 2026.

Choosing to study is a decision that shapes your future – and it often begins with a small step: the online application. Prospective students can submit their documents digitally at any time via the TU Braunschweig application portal and then track the status of their application.

Many paths, new opportunities

TU Braunschweig offers around 94 degree programmes across a broad range of subjects – from engineering, natural sciences and architecture, through to mobility, the environment and life sciences, right through to economics, social sciences and education. New specialisations will be introduced for the 2026/27 winter semester:

  • A new addition is the Master’s programme in Battery and Hydrogen Technology. It is aimed at students who wish to work on modern energy and storage technologies. In this field, TU Braunschweig combines research, teaching and practical application at specialised facilities such as the Battery LabFactory and the training facility for circular battery cell production.
  • Also new is the Bioentrepreneurship specialisation, which TU Braunschweig offers in collaboration with the Helmholtz Centre for Infection Research (HZI). It is integrated into the Master’s programmes in Biotechnology and Technology-Oriented Management and combines bioscientific research with entrepreneurial thinking. Here, students learn how research ideas can be turned into innovations and start-ups.

Guidance on the path to higher education

Anyone who is still unsure which degree programme is right for them can find support at the Central Student Advisory Service. It guides prospective students through the decision-making process – with personalised advice, workshops and support for starting your studies. Further information on degree programmes, applications, deadlines and entry requirements can be found on the website for prospective students.

Getting to know the TU

Of course, prospective students can also visit TU Braunschweig in person to get a feel for the university and its degree programmes. On 17 July 2026, there will be two opportunities to get to know the university better: during the architecture tour, architecture students will present their work. The BaUm-Day will also take place on this day. The degree programmes in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Environmental Sciences, Transport Engineering and Industrial Engineering/Civil Engineering will demonstrate what prospective students can expect from studying in Braunschweig and what campus life is like.
