Statement by the University Council of Technische Universität Braunschweig

At its meeting on 3 December 2025, the University Council of Technische Universität Braunschweig adopted a statement in response to recent local media reports about TU Braunschweig.

The University Council works closely with the entire Executive Board and the Senate. This cooperation is characterised by mutual trust, respect and openness.

The University Council welcomes the statements from the TU Braunschweig and the Senate regarding the recent coverage in the Braunschweiger Zeitung. The University Council supports the university-wide consensus with the Executive Board’s course of action expressed therein. Under the leadership of President Prof. Dr. Angela Ittel, TU Braunschweig is establishing itself as a source of inspiration and innovation, and as a partner to the regional business community. This strengthens its position in the national and international scientific landscape.

TU Braunschweig is being led responsibly and confidently through the current challenging times.
