Start of application at TU Braunschweig Bundled offers for the study decision

The Abi is done. Now the students have to make important decisions after graduation: What degree programmes are there and which degree programme suits me? At the start of the application phase for the winter semester 2023/24, Technische Universität Braunschweig would like to actively support prospective students in their decision to study. The bundled offers on campus, but also online, not only provide insights into the degree programmes, but are also intended to make you want to experience the colourful campus life.

Prospective students can choose from a total of 87 degree programmes, 35 of which are Bachelor’s degree programmes and state examinations and 44 Master’s degree programmes. This winter semester there are also three new degree programmes: the economics Bachelor’s degree programme Technology-Oriented Management (TOM) and the two English-language Master’s degree programmes “Solar System Physics” and “Quantum Technologies in Electrical and Computer Engineering“.

Anyone wishing to apply for a degree programme with restricted admission still has time to apply until 15 July. The application deadline for free admission degree programmes is 15 October.

The Sneak Peek TU gives real insights into campus life

A new landing page of TU Braunschweig bundles all events and information that support the decision to study. An authentic insight into campus life is provided by the Sneak Peek TU on 22 June from 9 am. In the morning, various lectures from all areas can be attended as an open classroom, at lunchtime there will be a visit to the mensa and afterwards students will report on campus life and everyday study life at the “Meet and Greet” in the campus café: Where is the best place to go out in Braunschweig? How do you organise your studies? They also provide answers to everything else that prospective students would like to know. The programme also includes campus tours, hands-on activities and lots of experiments. At the end, the party on the university square with music by students for future students will really make you want to experience campus life.

Counselling and workshops of the Academic Advice Service

On several dates, the Academic Advice Service offers numerous counselling services and workshops on deciding on a course of study and on study orientation, which provide support in choosing a course of study and applying. In addition, in virtual Studi-Talks, students, graduates and lecturers from different fields of study talk to each other in a moderated exchange about prerequisites, contents, everyday study life and career prospects in each field of study.

Bundled offers for the study decision

Prospective students can also check from home whether the desired degree programme at TU Braunschweig suits them. They can either get individual advice directly from the Academic Advice Service online or use the online self-assessment FIT4TU for their decision, which provides information about the course content in the desired degree programme and about the previous knowledge they should have for the degree programme. Information on the individual degree programmes is also provided by video portraits of degree programmes, in which students present their degree programmes and report on everyday life at the university.
