Sneak peek at studying! TU Braunschweig offers prospective students the opportunity to try out student life for a day

Abitur in the bag, but what comes after that? What is it actually like to study? Anyone asking themselves these questions is warmly invited to the first Sneak Peek TU at Technische Universität Braunschweig on 22 June. On this day, prospective students can get to know the university from a student’s perspective, alone or with friends, and get a taste of what life as a TU student is like. Inspired by the words of David Bowie’s song “Heroes”—”We can be students, just for one day!

Hardly any decision shapes the rest of your life as much as the decision to go to university. But what if you could already try out what it will be like to study? This option is now available at Technische Universität Braunschweig. On 22 June, the first Sneak Peek TU will take place, where prospective students can experience the university from a student’s perspective. “Participants in the Sneak Peek TU can expect an exciting and extensive range of offers that will support and encourage pupils and prospective students in their choice of degree programme,” explains Prof. Knut Baumann, Vice-President for Academic and Student Affairs at TU Braunschweig.

Focus on exchange 

Similar to real student life, the Sneak Peak TU programme does not focus exclusively on attending lectures. Campus life will play at least as big a role. Madleen Moritz, Central Student Marketing at TU Braunschweig and organiser of Sneak Peek TU, says: “The focus of Sneak Peek TU is on authenticity, honest exchange and fun. Prospective students should get real insights into campus life at TU Braunschweig: attend real lectures and sit together with students in the lecture hall and talk to students from the individual departments. The interested students will be accompanied by scouts who will answer all individual questions of the students.

Spontaneous participation also possible

Those who value an individual programme designed according to their own wishes are recommended to register via the Sneak Peak TU website. However, participation is also possible spontaneously and without registration. Whether alone or with friends—everyone who is interested is warmly invited to try out life as a TU student for a day on 22 June starting at 9 a.m. And if you like student life, you are welcome to actually study at TU Braunschweig as a first-semester student after successfully applying.
