Offer, search, discover: TransferHub launches digital marketplace New, free platform for companies, research institutions, universities and start-ups in the region

Joint press release
Ostfalia University of Applied Sciences and Technische Universität Braunschweig

Which know-how is available in our region and how can it be made useful for others? Who exactly offers a device that is currently needed elsewhere? Where can experts be sought for events? With a new digital marketplace at marktplatz.transferhub.de, searching and bidding is now easier and clearer.

The new virtual marketplace offers an uncomplicated platform for searching and bidding for all companies, start-ups, research institutions and universities in the region. It is an offer of the joint TransferHub of Ostfalia University and TU Braunschweig. “The marketplace connects providers and interested persons directly and is open to all sectors who are specifically looking for something or would like to offer something for use themselves,” explains project manager Theresa Joost from the Research and Technology Transfer Department at the Ostfalia University of Applied Sciences in Wolfenbüttel. Eight categories are available for this: Research, Equipment, Investors, Knowhow, Partner, Person, Software and Technology. Offers or requests can be posted or existing entries viewed without prior registration.

“The platform thrives on a high level of participation and new contributions, because this is the only way to create a broad range of offerings,” says Anke Bergmann, project manager from the Technology Transfer Office at TU Braunschweig. “With just a few clicks, it is possible to get in touch with the providers.” All contributions are checked and approved by the TransferHub team before publication.

With the TransferHub, the Ostfalia University and TU Braunschweig have created a central contact point for everything to do with knowledge and technology transfer in the region, both online and in the form of a joint team. The project and the associated website www.transferhub.de with the marketplace are funded by the Niedersächsische Vorab within the call for proposals “Transfer in Niedersachsen: Starke Strukturen für innovative Projekte“ (Strong structures for innovative projects).
