Choosing a degree programme made easy Get a taste of university life at the Hochschulinformationstag

How do I find my way around university? What should I study? How will I finance my studies? Anyone looking for answers to these questions should make a note of 24 May. On this day, Technische Universität Braunschweig invites prospective students to the Hochschulinformationstag (HIT) (University Information Day) from 09:00 to 15:00. Visitors can look forward to a varied programme.

What do doughnuts and coffee cups have to do with quantum technology? What is it like to study Architecture? How can we fight infectious diseases? These and many other exciting questions will be answered in a series of degree programme portraits and taster lectures. General lectures on all aspects of studying will provide information on financing options, finding accommodation, studying abroad or choosing the right degree programme.

In the format Studi-Talk Live! prospective students can talk to students and find out about student life. Various student initiatives will provide an insight into the lively campus life at TU Braunschweig. There will also be guided tours of the main campus.

New this year

Meet the Fakultät (Meet the Faculty) and Meet the TU are two new features of this year’s programme. At Meet the Fakultät the six faculties will present themselves in different rooms of the Historic Main Building and give information about requirements, contents, course of studies and career prospects. At Meet the TU, visitors can get to know the counselling and service facilities of TU Braunschweig and ask questions.

The full programme, preparation tips for prospective students, information for accompanying teachers and more can be found on the website www.tu-braunschweig.de/hit. From 1 April, people can also register for the HIT on the website and put together their own individual programme according to their areas of interest. Spontaneous participation is also possible without registration.
