Student survey: “How are you?” Survey on study conditions and health starts on June 1st
TU Braunschweig is committed to continuously improving study conditions. In order to be able to take targeted action, the Department of Studies and Teaching would like to find out how students are really doing and learn more about how they experience their current personal study situation. As such, the health survey “How are you?” is being launched again following on from 2022..
How are students at TU Braunschweig really doing in their studies? What is going well, and what is not? Through the “How are you?” survey, the Department of Studies and Teaching aims to understand the conditions students face in their daily studies, the factors that support them, and the sources of stress. Particular focus is given to how these conditions affect students’ health and well-being.
What has changed so far?
TU Braunschweig surveyed students about their study conditions for the first time in the summer semester of 2022. Based on the results, a catalogue of measures was developed to specifically improve study conditions. Following the Covid-19 pandemic, it was important to reinstate face-to-face teaching and offer diverse campus life and an attractive learning environment.
A key focus is to strengthen the community and promote an active campus culture by organising a wide range of events across the university that encourage interaction and exchange among students.
At the same time, efforts are being made to improve study conditions and the compatibility of family, work and study.
An important component in this context is the HEALTH4YOU programme, which tailors health-promoting services specifically to the realities of student life.
Another focus is on expanding health services to reduce psychological stress. This includes, among other things, expanding the support services offered by the Psychosocial Counselling Centre and holding regular Health Weeks.
Last but not least, the Sandkasten project aims to create a campus where students feel comfortable and healthy.
Why take part in the survey?
Changes are based on survey results, i.e. the experiences and opinions of students. Your response can therefore make a real difference and help to actively shape the study conditions for everyone.
The survey is completely anonymous: all data will be treated as strictly confidential and only evaluated in summary form. Nothing that could identify students in any way will be published.
