Common exchange at the summer get-together of the professors Welcoming the new appointees and international guests

At the invitation of the President, Prof. Dr. Angela Ittel, and with the generous support of the Braunschweigerischer Hochschulbund, the professors of Technische Universität Braunschweig gathered for a reception in the foyer of the Main Lecture Hall. The informal get-together was an opportunity to get to know each other across disciplines and faculties, to exchange ideas, to make plans or simply to chat. A special focus of the event, which took place for the third time in a row at the end of the summer semester, is to welcome international guests and newly appointed colleagues.

“With informal opportunities like this, we want to strengthen the collegial exchange and the sense of unity at TU Braunschweig that is so often called for”, emphasised President Angela Ittel in her welcome address. “For me, reflecting on our research strengths is an important basis for our identity.” She gave an overview of the numerous successes and enormous achievements of the researchers who have changed the research profile of TU Braunschweig in the long term and made it visible. “It is important that we are collectively proud of our spirit of discovery and the contribution we make to society as Technische Universität.”

This get-together is one of a number of recurring annual events that give members of TU Braunschweig the opportunity for informal dialogue. President Angela Ittel and Vice President Dietmar Smyrek today extended a warm invitation to the meeting for technical and administrative staff, which will take place on 8 August 2024.
