Numerical and Physical Modelling for Ports – An overview 20. November 2019 | 13:15 h - 14:45 h
An overview of the usage and need of numerical and physical modelling in port development and design with Sellhorn project examples.
As for the numerical modelling overview topics such as long-term/hindcasting, offshore to nearshore transformation, water level and currents, wave agitation/resonance, water quality – dilution/diffusion and sediment/morphodynamical – usage, requirements, limitations, examples from international projects and practical know-how; are addressed. In the physical modelling overview, for 2D and 3D usage, requirements, limitations, examples from international projects and practical know-how will be presented.
