Germany’s best microtechnologist comes from TU Braunschweig

Delijan Seeleke has been honoured for the third time in a row: the microtechnologist completed his training at the Institute of Microtechnology at TU Braunschweig in June 2025 – with outstanding success. With 98 points in his final examination, he was the best in his year at the Chamber of Industry and Commerce (IHK) at district and state level and has now also been honoured at federal level in Berlin.

Seeleke was accompanied by his two trainers, Bettina Thürmann and Anke Moritz, at the award ceremony. On stage, Federal Minister of Education Karin Prien and DIHK President Peter Adrian presented him with a trophy and certificate. Seeleke shares the award for best microtechnologist in Germany with Simon Lingner from Garbsen, who also achieved full marks.

The three-year training programme to become a microtechnologist at the Institute of Microtechnology requires a great deal of care and dexterity. Microtechnologists specialising in microsystems technology manufacture microtechnical products in whole or in part, such as sensors for cars, medical devices or components for mobile phones.
