AMC scientist receives Best Student Paper Award

Neira Babovic, research assistant at the Institute of Structural Design, was awarded the “Best Student Paper Award” by the American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM International). The award honours scientific research papers that work to improve and standardise processes. In her research in the Collaborative Research Centre TRR 277 Additive Manufacturing in Construction (AMC), Neira Babovic is working on the production of complex, individualised steel components for buildings using Wire and Arc Additive Manufacturing. The prize was awarded during the 4th International Conference on 3D Construction Printing from 19 to 21 July at Nanyang Technological University in Singapore.
