At TU Braunschweig, the Leichtweiß-Institute for Hydraulic Engineering and Water Resources (LWI) is involved under the direction of Professor Günter Meon.
► Optimizing competencies, processes and products
Today, products are not just products. They link digital services and processes. But how can employees be trained to adapt to new work processes? The Institutes of Engineering Design and Psychology are researching this with partners in the RePASE research project.
► International and sustainable
Sustainable Engineering of Products and Processes is the first bilingual bachelor’s degree program at Carolo-Wilhelmina. It provides students with a holistic approach to the topics of mobility, product design and manufacturing, process engineering and energy supply. Applications for the winter semester are still open until July 31.

The second week of the digital TU Nights led to Querumer Forst on Wednesday. At the Institute for Architecture-Related Art (IAK), we got an insight into the “Reallabor Hagenmarkt”. On Saturday, the bunker under the Okerhochhaus will be presented in a 360° experience tour. Here, among other things, psychologist Tobias Rahm explains how we can move from crisis to happiness. ► Darling of the week
Our darling of this week is literally out of this world: Asteroid 27506 Glassmeiser was named by the International Astronomical Union (IAU) in honor of Prof. Karl-Heinz Glaßmeier, former head of the Space Physics and Space Sensors Research Group. The celestial body, which is about 5.86 kilometers in diameter, reflects so little light, also known as albedo, that it is almost as black as coal. Now our house asteroid ‘Carolowilhelmina’ is no longer alone in the asteroid belt.
