► Autonomous driving: autoELF in the home straight
In March, the autonomous driving research vehicle autoELF leaves Braunschweig for Darmstadt for final tests before its presentation. At TU Braunschweig, the interior and important functions such as a radio emergency stop system have been installed. All four vehicles developed in the UNICARagil project will be demonstrated on May 11.
► New impulses for the lectures on public transport
Dr Lars Schnieder is new honorary professor of Faculty 3. The CEO of the Braunschweig-based company ESE Engineering und Software-Entwicklung GmbH is expanding the range of courses on public transport in the areas of digitalisation, big data and automation.
► Uni meets school
How music lessons can look today was shown by the Institute for Music and its Education in a joint project by students and lecturers. At the Apollonia Secondary School in Uelzen, seven music teaching students reinterpreted Rihanna’s song “Diamonds” together with pupils.
► Convincing continuing education
The programme “Weiterbildung in der Hochschullehre” (WindH) of the Competence Centre of Excellence in Lower Saxon Higher Education at TU Braunschweig has now been re-accredited.

As part of a cross-state continuing education day in Braunschweig, “ko:nect – Netz für Weiterbildung” and “(Re)Shape Automotive Industry” as well as the “TransformationsHub Aus- und Weiterbildung” invite to a training fair and an afterparty at the NFF.
► Horizon Europe Cluster 5 – Climate, Energy and Mobility
The national contact point for the Horizon Europe funding programme will provide information on the basics and the 2023/2024 calls for proposals in an online event on 21 March.
► Darling of the week
Our darling of the week moves brains, exercises happiness and provides us with brainfood during our lunch break. Next week is the first Health Week for all employees and students. In lectures, participatory courses and the canteen’s offerings, everything revolves around physical and mental health. Registration for numerous health week offers is still possible online, even for those who decide at a last minute.
