► Technology Transfer Prize: TU researchers and TU spin-offs successful
The Institute of Chemical and Thermal Process Engineering has won this year’s Technology Transfer Prize together with RITTEC Umwelttechnik from Lüneburg. The TU Braunschweig’s success is rounded off by two TU spin-offs in second and third place.
► Braunschweig researchers on international Arctic expedition
On 7 May, a research team set off for the Arctic on the icebreaker “Oden”. Its goal is to find out why the ice begins to melt and when, and which processes are important for this. Dr. Falk Pätzold and Magnus Asmussen from TU Braunschweig are also on board.

With a conference on “Autonomous Driving & Urban Structure” on 2 June, TU Braunschweig, together with the Lower Saxony Research Centre for Automotive Engineering, the city and other scientific institutions, is putting Braunschweig on the world map of mobility innovations. ► A warm welcome
… to Professor Peter Düking! Since May he has been new Junior Professor for Exercise and Training Science. In his research, he focuses, among other things, on how training can be optimised and individualised and whether wearables bring an improvement in the training process.
► Mechanical Engineering Day
723 Bachelor’s and Master’s graduates and 93 doctoral candidates from the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering will celebrate their graduation on Saturday in the Stadthalle. Congratulations and we look forward to seeing you stay connected to TU Braunschweig.
► #SdZ2023 Conference: Walk the Talk
For the conference “Future City. Research and Actions for Positive Change” on 11 and 12 October, a public accompanying programme is planned – along with exhibitions, a stage programme, food trucks and live music on the first evening. Apply with your ideas by 6 June.
► TUmorrow Awards 2023
Apply by 19 May for the sustainability prizes of the TUmorrow Awards 2023, which are awarded by the Braunschweig University Association in the categoriess “Student Engagement”, “Outstanding Thesis” and “Outstanding Course”.
► TU Braunschweig at AUC Employment Fair
On May 13, TU Braunschweig will present itself at the “AUC Employment Fair” of the American University in Cairo and advise graduates on funding and career opportunities in Braunschweig.
► Darling of the week
The University Sports Centre brought good vibes and movement to the campus yesterday at the first University Sports Day 2023. Despite the rainy weather, students performed hip-hop and kobudo demonstrations on University Square, encouraging many to join in. For those who wanted to get active with others, health4you presented over 20 pieces of sports equipment such as beach tennis and spikeball to borrow. Let’s get active!
