► More data for optimising wind farms
Wind energy from offshore wind farms is indispensable for the energy transition. The Institute of Flight Guidance has therefore carried out measurement flights of wind yield with two research aircraft as well as ground-based wind measurements in the German Bight over several years.
► Going for a microwave adventure
Congratulations to Prof. Vadim Issakov on his award as Distinguished Microwave Lecturer. As such, he will be travelling around the globe for the next three years, networking our metrological research on high frequencies.

► Honouring the 50th doctoral anniversary
On 4 August, the Faculty of Electrical Engineering, Information Technology, Physics honoured Prof. Horst Germer, Prof. Manfred Lindmayer and Academic Director Helmut Mosebach with the renewal of their doctoral certificates. Congratulations!
