Under the motto “WELLBEING@workandstudy”, Vice President Prof. Manfred Krafzcyk will open the Health Week on Monday at 9 a.m. in the Aula, Haus der Wissenschaft, as part of the lecture “Glück kann man trainieren – Positive Psychologie zum Anfassen“ (Happiness can be trained – positive psychology at your fingertips). Tobias Rahm will reveal how we can increase our sense of happiness.

The programme also includes talks on stress management, motivation, mental stress and procrastination. The Botanical Garden invites you to actively relax and move with Qigong and Yoga. If you want to take it even easier, you can touch and smell the plants of the senses on the garden tour. Students can find out about the results of the “How are you?” student survey or get tips on how to study successfully and stay motivated in a lecture. Information stands and the Community Café invite you to talk about well-being. Cardio stress tests will also be offered at various locations throughout the week.

Survey on working conditions and health

How satisfied are you with your work? How do you feel? Where do you see a need for action? At the start of Health Week, all employees will be asked for their views on working conditions and health. For four weeks, from 3 June to 1 July 2024, all employees will be able to give their opinion online on these questions and other topics such as working conditions, leadership culture, collaboration, conflict management, time demands, digitalisation, flexible working, satisfaction and mental health, and initiate change. The aim is to derive further effective measures from the survey.
