English Medium Instruction in flux: Developments and Transitions 23. June 2021 | 17:00 h - 18:30 h
English Medium Instruction (EMI) programmes are generally delivered to students whose mother tongue is not English by lecturers whose mother tongue is also not English. The programmes are taught not only across languages but also across cultures, leading to changes in pedagogy. EMI programmes are therefore often in flux. This lecture will focus on the developments and transitions brought about by EMI, the impact upon both lecturers and students, and solutions to some of the challenges. (2 AE)
