Chloride migration test in the test frame under load: This shows that the penetration of chlorides (salts) into the concrete is faster under load and thus the service life of a structure also depends on the load of individual components. The light area is the chloride that has penetrated, the areas without salt remain brown. Penetrating chlorides shorten the service life because they lead to corrosion of the reinforcing steel.
