16 cooperation projects at TU Braunschweig funded by the Ecoversity initiative
In the first call for proposals for the ‘Spaces for Collaboration’ funding line of the Ecoversity initiative, 16 of the 26 projects submitted were selected and awarded funding for the implementation of cooperative formats. The aim is to sustainably strengthen the culture of scientific exchange in the regional scientific ecosystem of TU Braunschweig.
The prerequisite for funding was the involvement of at least one member of the regional scientific ecosystem and the planning of a concrete result of the exchange, such as a joint roadmap. Various formats are being funded – from a summer school for students at the Wolfsburg campus to interdisciplinary workshops and network-building initiatives by employees from administration, research and scientific support.
President Angela Ittel is impressed by the lively response to the call for proposals: “The great response to our call for proposals shows the relevance of our initiative: Ecoversity thrives where employees drive ideas forward together. The diversity of the applications and formats proposed proves how broad the impact of our scientific ecosystem is. This results in sustainable collaborations with real added value for the university, our partners and society. The aim is to optimise processes and make even more efficient use of shared resources. All partners involved contribute their strengths and jointly leverage potential that would not be possible without cooperation. With this in mind, I invite all university members to keep an eye on the next calls for proposals.”
An overview of the funded projects can be found on the Ecoversity website: https://www.tu-braunschweig.de/ecosystem/foerderprogramme. The next call for proposals within the framework of Ecoversity will be published in a few months and will once again focus on the design of collaboration spaces. We will inform you in good time!
