The coherent interaction between fluxons and magnons takes place at the intersection of their dispersion curves (red area in the centre of the image). There, the linear dispersion of the fluxons (straight line from bottom left to top right) meets the parabolic dispersion of the magnons (curved line from bottom left to top right). This intersection reflects the correspondence between the energy (frequency in gigahertz on the Y-axis) and the momentum (wave number in radians per micrometre on the X-axis) of the fluxon and magnon subsystems.
