CHE University Ranking 2025: Students give TU Braunschweig very good marks Support at the beginning of studies rated as excellent in the CHE ranking
- TU Braunschweig has once again received an excellent rating in the category “Support at the start of studies”.
- This year, students of engineering, including architecture, education, German studies and psychology were surveyed for the ranking.
- According to the latest CHE university ranking, students at TU Braunschweig are very satisfied with the study conditions at Technical University of Braunschweig.
The support provided at the beginning of their studies, which assesses the various measures taken to assist students in the initial phase of their studies, received top marks across the board. The students’ overall assessment of TU Braunschweig was very positive. Particular praise and high ratings were given to the general study situation, the support provided by teaching staff, the organisation of studies, the range of courses on offer, the support available during studies, and the library facilities and IT infrastructure. TU Braunschweig also scored highly in the area of research, achieving top results for third-party funding per scientist and doctorates per professor.
Top subjects and degree programmes
Process Engineering (Bio-, Chemical- and Pharmaceutical Engineering) scored particularly well in the International Orientation category. It also performed particularly well among students, with ratings above the national average in 17 categories.
Other subjects that scored particularly well among students overall include:
- Civil Engineering: 16 ratings in the top group
- Mechanical Engineering: 15 ratings in the top group
- Psychology: 13 ratings in the top group
- Electrical Engineering and Information Technology: 10 ratings in the top group
- Architecture: 9 ratings in the top group
“The excellent results of the CHE ranking show once again that students feel very comfortable at our university. In particular, the top marks for support at the beginning of their studies, supervision by teaching staff, the overall study situation and the organisation of studies show that TU Braunschweig is a good choice for studying,” says TU Vice President for Studies and Teaching, Prof. Knut Baumann.
New Bioelectronics Engineering (B.Sc.) programme expands the range of courses on offer
From architecture and computer science to sustainable energy systems and electromobility and aerospace engineering, TU Braunschweig offers students a wide range of courses. In the winter semester, a new innovative bachelor’s programme combining life sciences and engineering will be added: “Bioelectronics Engineering”. Students will learn to develop technologies that seamlessly combine biological systems with electronic devices. The programme prepares graduates to develop cutting-edge technologies that can revolutionise healthcare, the environment and many other areas.
Applications for the winter semester begin in June
The application period for the winter semester begins on 1 June.
