Become a DJ or a music teacher: Study music at TU Braunschweig Apply now for the aptitude test

The Institute for Music and Music Education at Technische Universität Braunschweig will inform about its aptitude test in two events and is looking forward to receiving applicants for music studies. Applications should be submitted by 31 May 2022.

At TU Braunschweig, the education is practice-oriented and musically diverse. Popular music is a focal point in research and teaching. At the institute you can also study electronic music as an artistic major. Students there can develop their individual study plan from given components, for example DJing, live electronics or sound design.

Even though the bachelor’s programme serves as preparation for the master’s degree in teaching for primary, Haupt and Realschule, the study programme also prepares students for other further music-oriented degree programmes as well as for various professional fields in the cultural sector and extracurricular music education.

Aptitude test in June

The prerequisite for studying music at TU Braunschweig is a successfully completed aptitude test, which includes an audition, a written examination on aural training and music theory as well as an interview. For the start of studies in the winter semester 2022/2023, the aptitude tests will take place in attendance on 13, 22 and 30 June 2022. The registration deadline is 31 May 2022.
