Abitur preparation made easy Advice for high school graduates from TU Braunschweig

The Abitur exams are just around the corner and many students are asking themselves: How do I prepare myself optimally? How do I plan my time wisely? Which learning methods are most effective and how can I keep myself motivated? In February, the Centre for Student Counselling (ZSB) at TU Braunschweig will be supporting high school graduates in their exam preparations with an online format.

The online series “Learning to Learn” will take place every Monday from 18:00 to 19:00 until 24 February 2025. Participants will receive a variety of tips on study skills, time management and strategies for dealing with motivation issues. There will also be an opportunity to ask individual questions.

Other courses offered by the ZSB

In addition to the Abitur preparation courses, the ZSB offers numerous other events to help high school graduates and other prospective students decide whether to study and which subjects or specialisations might be suitable for them:

  • Virtual Student Talk: Interested parties can talk to students via video chat and gain an insight into everyday student life at TU Braunschweig.
  • Open class: Without having to register, prospective students can attend regular courses and get to know different study programmes.
  • Orientation workshops: For those who do not yet know what to do after graduating from high school, these workshops offer support in making decisions. The next workshop will take place on 9 April 2025 from 9:00 to 16:00.
  • Lectures: The ZSB also offers a series of lectures with information and support for the transition from school to university, including “How to choose the right degree” on 21 May 2025 and “How to apply for a place at university” on 28 May 2025.
  • Trade fairs: The ZSB is also present at various fairs in the region, answering questions on topics related to starting university. The dates can be found on the ZSB website.

Most events can be attended online. With the exception of the workshops, no registration is required.
