Welcome Week for international students
The Welcome Week for new international students at TU Braunschweig takes place from 7 October. The programme is an excellent opportunity to get to know the university and make new friends. It includes a kick-off event, campus tours, information sessions on study-related topics, practical workshops, get-to-know-you events and much more. A highlight is the Freshers’ Excursion, which this semester is to the Autostadt. The programme is organised by International House in cooperation with other TU Braunschweig institutions and student initiatives such as ESN Braunschweig.
How to get to the Eintracht stadium
If you want to get to the stadium by public transport, you can use trams 1 and 2. They run from the main railway station through the city centre to the Eintracht stadium. Line 1 stops directly at the stadium (stop Stadion, direction Wenden). Line 2 stops near the stadium (stop Gesundheitsamt, direction Siegfriedviertel). After the event, both lines will provide additional services from the main station to the stadium and from the stadium to the town hall.
Please make sure you get to the stadium on time, as public transport to the stadium is very busy and the walk from the Hamburger Straße stops to the Rheingoldstraße entrance to the east stand takes about 10 minutes. If you live nearby, it is best to come by bike or on foot. Another tip: the stadium is not heated, so don’t forget to wear warm clothes!
There will be a sign language interpreter at the event.
