► Register now for the new parking system
The trial phase of the new car park management system at TU Braunschweig is now underway. Users can now set up an account on the online portal using their TU Braunschweig email address and register their vehicle(s). Until the end of the trial phase, parking remains free of charge and does not require registration. Information on registration, usage and data protection is available on the parking management website.
► Local group: Mothers in Science
Female researchers with children need reliable career prospects and targeted support for their research. This is shown by a study conducted by Prof. Okka Zimmermann (Institute of Sociology) and Jule Lilje (Department of Student Affairs and Teaching). ► New throwable microphone in the Main Lecture Hall
The Catchbox facilitates communication during lectures and other presentations. No reservation is required; simply collect it from the porter’s lodge in the Historic Main Building. The Media Technology Team is available to assist with technical queries.
► Impact Map: Short workshop on the digital map for staff

► Event tip from the Association of German Engineers (VDI): Autonomous Mobility
How are autonomous vehicles changing our transport system? In his lecture on 13 April in the Historic Main Building, Dr Felix Zwick (MOIA GmbH) will provide insights into Europe’s largest ride-pooling service and demonstrate how a comprehensive autonomous system could function in the future.
►Apply now: Fellowship on security and technology
The VW Foundation supports postdoctoral researchers conducting research on the relationship between security and technology from a European perspective – for up to three years and a maximum of 450,000 euros. Researchers who have completed their doctorate within the last five years can submit an application until 5 May.
► Our darling of the week
… takes us to a sleepy American village in the early 19th century, which seems to be haunted. In the coming weeks, the student theatre group “Stör & Fried” will be staging their horror comedy “The Legend of Sleepy Hollow” to show what happens when reason and superstition clash.
