TU Braunschweig and the Executive Board express their solidarity with Israel. As a cosmopolitan university, TU Braunschweig is committed to justice, tolerance, respect and peace for all people.
► Recycling: Awarded as “Rising Star of the Year”
TU Braunschweig has been awarded “Rising Star of the Year” in the Paper Atlas 2023. The university administration was able to increase the use of recycled paper by 50 percentage points compared to the previous year and thus took first place in the growth ranking of the Paper Atlas.

… French, English or Japanese? Or would you like to learn these or other languages? Then take a look at the Language Centre’s current course programme. Courses are offered in specialist and general languages, as well as intercultural workshops, tandem programmes and cinema evenings.
► Research Service at DAAD Online Session
Research Services participates in an online university presentation of DAAD New Delhi on 25 October and connects with students and PhD students from India, Bangladesh, Bhutan, Nepal & Sri Lanka.
► UK-German Funding Initiative in the Humanities
The Arts and Humanities Research Council (AHRC) and the Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG, German Research Foundation) are launching a call for proposals for outstanding joint UK-German research projects in the Humanities. The closing date for this call is Tuesday, 20 February 2024.
► Why teams stumble – and how they bounce back
In cooperation with the Projekthaus, Co3Learn offers a workshop on teamwork. The event is aimed at students and teachers and will take place on 17 November from 9:00 to 13:00 in the conference room of the Masch.Bau. External coaches will accompany the joint exchange to develop strategies for successful group work that can be applied both in courses and in a professional context.
► Mental health first aid for TU scientists
On 1 October, the pilot project Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) for scientists was launched. The programme offers them support in coping with stress in the form of first aid sessions with qualified staff. Read more about the project and the first aiders here.
► New programme for corporate health promotion
Since 9 October, employees at TU Braunschweig can once again sign up for courses in corporate health promotion. They can choose from an array of exercise and relaxation courses, as well as seminars on topics such as improving eye health and mindfulness.
► #WelcomeToTUBraunschweig
This winter semester, first-year students can once again look forward to a versatile and varied social media campaign. Since Monday, the Instagram channel of TU Braunschweig has been providing valuable information and tips about studying, the campus and the city.
► Broadening horizons
This year’s Studium Generale is once again an invitation to look beyond the familiar horizon of one’s own degree programme. Students have the opportunity to see for themselves the diversity of TU Braunschweig by immersing themselves in new and exciting topics for 45 minutes each.
► Darling of the week
… are the 111 trainees who were honoured for their outstanding results on 29 September at the “westand Kultur- und Eventzentrum” in Braunschweig, including trainees from TU Braunschweig. We wish them all a good start to their careers.
