Delivering university courses to international students in English can be challenging if English is not your first language. There may be issues around fluency, confidence, clarity of communication.
This course is highly interactive and practical. It will include input on:
• EMI (English as a Medium of Instruction) and the challenges it presents
• fundamental teaching skills, such as delivering clear and effective instructions to students
• communicating clearly in English through the voice, with a focus on pacing and articulation
• key presentation skills, such as sign-posting language, explaining and exemplifying

There will also be an opportunity for each participant to bring in a piece of teaching material for 1-2-1 feedback from the native English-speaking trainer, Andrew Weale, who is himself an experienced actor and university lecturer.
