Safety of Breakwaters, Practical Lessons Learned from Damaged and A/S Built Breakwaters 06.12.2017 | 13:15 Uhr - 14:45 Uhr
Ole Juul Jensen has been involved in international port and coastal engineering in 42 years and has been involved in numerous port and breakwater projects, both including studies, numerical and physical models (as Head of DHI hydraulic laboratory dept. 1985-81), and later with COWI for design of many breakwaters. The presentation lec-ture focusses on presenting many of the practical lessons from breakwater construction and especially from projects that were damaged. The presentation will be with a lot of photo illustrations on the actual case studies. This experience shows that it is not all design issues that can be dealt with based upon norms, standards and guidebooks.
