The Stra\u00dfner Collection of Technische Universit\u00e4t Braunschweig&#8217;<\/a> will come to an end at the St\u00e4dtisches Museum Braunschweig (Haus am L\u00f6wenwall). The exhibition marks the conclusion of a successful collaboration between Technische Universit\u00e4t Braunschweig and the St\u00e4dtisches Museum Braunschweig. To mark the end of the exhibition, Braunschweig pianist Juan Pe\u00f1alver Madrid will guide the audience through the rediscovered works of art with a piano concert.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>On 8 June 2025, the exhibition &#8216;Ausgehoben! Realisms from Aristide Maillol to the ZEBRA Group. The Stra\u00dfner Collection of Technische Universit\u00e4t Braunschweig&#8217; will come to an end at the St\u00e4dtisches Museum Braunschweig (Haus am L\u00f6wenwall). To mark the end of the exhibition, Braunschweig pianist Juan Pe\u00f1alver Madrid will guide the audience through the rediscovered works of art with a piano concert.<\/p>\n<p>Under the title \u2018Found Objects \u2013 Soundscapes of a Collection,\u2019 Juan Pe\u00f1alver Madrid will interpret works by Claude Debussy, B\u00e9la Bart\u00f3k, John Cage and Philip Glass. The musical atmospheres reflect the diversity and depth of the Stra\u00dfner Collection, which has been on display at the museum for the past three months. The compositions combine with the impressions of the exhibition and the stories, research and fragments of memories that preceded their rediscovery.<\/p>\n<p>The exhibition, which spans around 90 years of creative work, presents paintings and prints by internationally renowned artists such as Aristide Maillol, Ida Kerkovius, Lovis Corinth, Maria Caspar-Filser, Hans Purrmann, Max Pechstein, Gerhard Marcks and Willem Grimm, as well as works by Horst Antes, Walter Dexel, Gerd Winner, Axel Dick, Rupprecht Geiger and Peter Nagel. The works are recontextualised thematically and display a stylistic range from colour-intensive landscapes and urban structures to experimental forms and figurative representations.
