The World Economic Forum’s Global Future Council on Agile Governance has selected Prof. Dr. Anne Paschke of Technische Universit\u00e4t Braunschweig to the 2021 Agile 50 list \u2013 The World’s 50 Most Influential People Navigating Disruption<\/a>. This award honors leaders who are driving agility in government, regulation, and policymaking around the world.<\/p>\n

Professor Anne Paschke is the only representative from Germany among the selected globally and locally active politicians, entrepreneurs and civil servants. She was joined in the “Agile 50” by ministers from various continents, as well as the chair of the international board of Amnesty International, the Canadian ambassador to the EU and the coordinator for the global use of COVID-19 vaccines at the United Nations.<\/p>\n

Anne Paschke is a university professor for public law and technology law<\/a> at the TU Braunschweig. There, she is also Director of the Institute of Legal Studies and Head of the Mobility Law Research Unit<\/a>. In her research, she specialises in legal topics in digitalisation, in the areas of data use and data protection, e-commerce, e-government and e-health. Since 2019, she has also been deputy head of the division for general digital policy issues at the Federal Chancellery. She has many years of experience in teaching digital skills and in digitisation projects for the administration.<\/p>\n

The Agile 50 award was launched by Apolitical and the World Economic Forum<\/a>‘s Global Future Council on Agile Governance. Apolitical is a platform that brings together public administration workers with policymakers to support the exchange of ideas on some of the most pressing issues – from the refugee crisis to Covid-19 to climate change. A core goal is to adapt governance to rapid technological change. The Global Future Council on Agile Governance’s mission is to innovate the practice of government by networking experts from business and government, using best practices from around the world. This is intended to generate innovations and also promote economic growth.<\/p>\n

In 2020, two personalities from Germany were represented among the Agile 50: Dorothee B\u00e4r, Minister of State to the Federal Chancellor and Federal Government Commissioner for Digitalization, and Andrej Safundzic, founder of the Federal Government’s Tech4Germany Fellowship Program.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
