<\/b>\u2026 this is the aim of the \u201cForeCoast\u201d collaborative project<\/a>. Under the headship of Prof. Kai Schr\u00f6ter (Leichtwei\u00df Institute for Hydraulic Engineering), researchers are working with industry partners to develop a smart water and energy management system that combines flood protection, energy efficiency and security of supply. The project is receiving funding of around 1.5 million euros from the BMFTR.<\/p>\n The Lower Saxony Energy Research Centre (efzn) is funding the \u201cReKoMi \u2013 Resilience in Coupled Medium-Voltage Grids\u201d project. Together with the University of Oldenburg and the University of Bremen, a team led by Prof. Regine Mallwitz<\/a> is investigating how coupled medium-voltage grids can strengthen the resilience and stability of the energy system in Lower Saxony in future.<\/p>\n Prof. Thomas Koller<\/a>, Institute of Thermodynamics, will deliver his inaugural lecture, \u2018Transport im Grenzbereich \u2013 Bewegte Zeiten f\u00fcr die Thermodynamik? (Transport at the Limit \u2013 Turbulent Times for Thermodynamics?)\u2019, on 15 July.<\/p>\n Staff and students from the Institute for Institute for Building Climatology and Energy of Architecture and the Institute for Design and Architectural Strategies have transformed the former computer laboratory in the Okerhochhaus into a real-world laboratory for sustainable construction<\/a>. The room has been fitted with, amongst other things, a heat pump, an underfloor heating and cooling system, and a clay wall.<\/p>\n Members of the Committee for Equality (KfG), the Council of Equality Officers and President Angela Ittel recently met to discuss current challenges and strengthen future collaboration. The meeting<\/a> is to take place annually with immediate effect.<\/p>\n On 23 June, TU Braunschweig was present with a partner stage at U:FF 2026, which took place this year under the motto \u2018Under Pressure\u2019. From exciting keynote speeches and workshops on virtual teaching to interactive art installations, the day offered a wide range of insights<\/a> into the future of academic education.<\/p>\n The Lions Racing Team<\/a> is kicking off the racing season with its brand-new LR26 model. The racing car combines lightweight construction with electric power and will prove its worth in August at Formula Student Germany and Formula Student France.<\/p>\n In a joint seminar<\/a> organised by the Institute for Architecture-Related Art and the Institute of History, students took an interdisciplinary approach to examining bunkers and air-raid shelters in Braunschweig and how they have transformed the urban landscape. Among other things, they developed performances and installations on this theme.<\/p>\n PhD student Clemens Janke from the Institute of History aims to preserve and, in the long term, (re)activate our university\u2019s tangible cultural heritage by cataloguing various university collections. To this end, an exhibition at the University Library<\/a> will open on 16 July in cooperation with the HBK, funded by the Call for Impact<\/a> from the Transfer Service.<\/p>\n Fancy a free coffee with fellow students or colleagues before work, or a bit of dancing? At the Community Caf\u00e9 \u201cPre-Work & -Study\u201d<\/a> on 16 July, we\u2019ll welcome the day together with some relaxed dance moves to groovy music. The party, open to all TU members, starts at 7.30 am in the Architecture Pavilion. It\u2019s a BYOB event \u2013 so bring your own breakfast!<\/p>\n What\u2019s the current status of the Co_Living Campus project<\/a>? On 10 July, the project team would like to discuss this. The meeting point is the lawn in front of the Student Pavilion on North Campus.<\/p>\n During the non-lecture period, the Language Centre regularly offers intensive German and English courses<\/a>. These courses are aimed at students and staff members at our university, as well as external participants and students from the HBK Braunschweig. Registration opens on 3 August.<\/p>\n On 16 July, around 200 students from the Bachelor\u2019s degree programmes in Computer Science, Business Information Systems, Information Systems Engineering and Mathematics will present the results of this year\u2019s software development placement<\/a>. The three best teams will receive awards.<\/p>\n The Department of Architecture is once again hosting the annual student exhibition<\/a>. On 17 July, all institutes will open their doors for the traditional joint tour.<\/p>\n On 17 July, Faculty 3 will be offering insights into the degree programmes in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Environmental Sciences, Transportation Engineering and Industrial and Civil Engineering at the BaUm-Day<\/a>. A campus tour and guided tours of laboratories and experiment halls are also planned.<\/p>\n The new partnership \u201cRaw Materials Partnership for the Green and Digital Transition\u201d (RAMP)<\/a> is calling on researchers to submit proposals by 22 September. The aim is to provide funding for European research projects across the entire raw materials value chain.
