They were financed with over 10 million euros from the Federal Ministry of Research, Technology and Space. This further expands the regional network BLB+\u2019s leading role in industry-oriented battery research.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><b>\u25ba Greater safety through better coordination of air and space traffic<\/b><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Airspace is not only traversed by aeroplanes \u2013 spacecraft also cross it during take-off and re-entry. To make traffic there safer, the European Space Agency has commissioned the TU Braunschweig spin-off OKAPI:Orbit to develop an <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/magazin.tu-braunschweig.de\/en\/pi-post\/for-greater-safety-closer-integration-of-space-and-air-traffic\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">interface between space and air traffic management<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> in collaboration with our university and the DLR.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><b>\u25ba Inaugural lecture<\/b><\/h3>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/magazin.tu-braunschweig.de\/event\/antrittsvorlesung-oettel\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Prof. Vincent Oettel<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, Institute of Building Materials, Concrete Construction and Fire Safety, will hold his inaugural lecture \u201c<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Effizientes Bauen mit Beton \u2013 automatisiert, modular und nachhaltig\u201d<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> on 19 March.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><b>\u25ba Equal opportunities concern us all!<\/b><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u2026 says TU Equal Opportunities Officer <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/magazin.tu-braunschweig.de\/en\/m-post\/equal-opportunities-concern-us-all\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Ulrike Wrobel<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. As part of his Master\u2019s thesis at the Institute of Applied Mechanics, he spent four weeks in <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/magazin.tu-braunschweig.de\/en\/m-post\/mail-from-sweden-2\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Gothenburg at Chalmers University of Technology<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><b>\u25ba Registration for the 16th Campus Run<\/b><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Whether alone or in a team: on 31 May, the university will once again be competing in a running race. Registration for the 5 km fun run and the 10 km main run is possible <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.tu-braunschweig.de\/en\/sportzentrum\/translate-to-english-veranstaltungen\/campuslauf\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">here<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><b>\u25ba \u201cJoint Undertaking Bio-based Europe\u201d: 2026 work programme published<\/b><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The partnership between the European Commission and the Bio-based Industries Consortium is providing \u20ac170 million this year <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.tu-braunschweig.de\/en\/research-services\/european-research-funding\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">to promote sustainable and competitive bio-based innovation<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. The call for tender (CFT) opens on 23 April and applications can be submitted until 22 September.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><b>\u25ba Our darling of the week<\/b><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u2026 takes us to Antarctica: Pinar Dogantekin is spending two months <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/magazin.tu-braunschweig.de\/en\/m-post\/antarctic-expedition-masters-thesis-in-the-eternal-ice\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">aboard the research vessel \u201cPolarstern\u201d<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. The student of the degree programme \u201cCulture of the Techno-scientific World\u201d is accompanying an expedition by the Alfred Wegener Institute for her master\u2019s thesis.
