To show this, the Equal Opportunities Office invites you to take part in a<\/span> campaign<\/span><\/a> on University Square on 25 November. It starts at 10 a.m. \u2013 anyone who wants to can show their solidarity by wearing an orange garment.<\/span><\/p>\n In collaboration with Brazilian partners, the Waste and Resource Management Division of the Leichtwei\u03b2 Institute for Hydraulic Engineering and Water Resources is working to reduce marine litter significantly by improving waste management systems and establishing a circular economy. The <\/span>PROMARES project<\/span><\/a> has received six million euros of funding from the Federal Ministry for the Environment.<\/span><\/p>\n In its new publication <\/span>\u201cThe Energy-Efficient Aircraft of the Future\u201d<\/span><\/a>, the DGLR shows how traditional aircraft design disciplines can make a decisive contribution to climate neutrality by 2050. The paper, which was developed in collaboration with experts from TU Braunschweig, outlines measures to achieve this.<\/span><\/p>\n Abrasion from car tyres is one of the most significant sources of fine particles in road traffic. TU Braunschweig and Continental have tested a <\/span>new measuring method<\/span><\/a> to record their formation more precisely. The aim is to optimise tyres and reduce emissions.<\/span><\/p>\n TU Braunschweig is developing new safety concepts together with industrial partners in the <\/span>CONTROL research<\/span><\/a> project. The aim is for vehicles to react reliably even in rain, fog or unexpected obstacles.<\/span><\/p>\n Congratulations to Dr Liubov Bakhchova (Institute for CMOS Design) and Dr Thomas E. Winkler (Institute for Microelectronics)! These two scientists have been elected to the twelve-person board of the <\/span>European Organ-on-Chip Society<\/span><\/a> (EUROoCS).<\/span><\/p>\n In spring 2026, British-Spanish artist <\/span>Louise Ward Morris<\/span><\/a> will be Artist-in-Residence at the Science and Art Lab. Proposals can be submitted via the elan portal until 25 February 2026.<\/span><\/p>\n How can communication at our university become more inclusive? In an impact learning event organised by Dr Ingrid Wiedenroth-Gabler, Master’s students in teaching have developed an online course on sign language <\/span>\u2013<\/b> which was awarded first place in the <\/span>\u201cBest Impact Project 2025\u201d<\/span><\/a> competition.
