This year, the conference organised by the Institute for Building Materials, Concrete Construction and Fire Safety will take place in the Audimax.<\/span><\/p>\n For a century, the Institute has shaped research into the electrical energy supply, covering everything from high voltage to renewable energies. The anniversary year will be kicked off on 1 and 2 October with the \u201cFestkolloquium elenia 100\u201d celebration. Prof. Christian Kehrt reflects on a significant chapter in <\/span>scientific history<\/span><\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n Michael Kraft played a key role in shaping the Botanical Garden for almost four decades, working as a gardener, director, networker, and enthusiastic storyteller. He has rebuilt greenhouses, saved areas from destruction, introduced the public to the garden, and inspired generations of students. <\/span>Braunschweig’s \u201cgreen thumb\u201d<\/span><\/a> is now retiring.<\/span><\/p>\n How do vegan alternative products change protein structure during processing, and thus affect our digestion? This question is addressed in the research of Jun.-Prof. Jana Raupbach. She received the <\/span>2025 Werner Baltes Award<\/span><\/a> for her work at the Food Chemistry Days in Halle (Saale). Congratulations!<\/span><\/p>\n In this episode of the <\/span>German Education Server podcast<\/span><\/a>, Dr Oliver Hormann (Institute of Educational Science) presents the \u201cFeel, Think, Speak\u201d training concept, which is integrated into everyday life. This concept supports educational professionals in adapting their conversational behaviour to the specific interests and language levels of the children.<\/span><\/p>\n As part of the ProDiGI project, an online survey was conducted to gauge students\u2019 views on international teaching programmes. <\/span>The results show<\/span><\/a> that many students view these programmes as valuable opportunities for their future international careers. The results of the teacher survey will be published at the end of the year.<\/span><\/p>\n From AI-supported manufacturing solutions to reusable rockets: Two start-ups from our university won this year\u2019s <\/span>DurchSTARTer award from NBank<\/span><\/a>. LBR Engineering UG, a start-up specialising in mechanical engineering, took first place in the Newcomer\/Scale-Up category. Gaia Aerospace took third place in the Science Spin-offs category. Congratulations!<\/span><\/p>\n What is required for a funding acknowledgement, and how should it be written? Answers to this and other questions about funding acknowledgements can be found on a <\/span>new website<\/span><\/a> from the German Research Foundation. The website also includes suggested wording in both languages, as well as practical advice on common queries.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n Exploring and shaping future living environments across faculties \u2013 that is the goal of \u201cFuture City\u201d. <\/span>On 9 October<\/span><\/a>, interested parties can find out more about the Core Research Area and how they can get involved.
